We made it another year, and what a year we made it!

Each season, the Mystic Krewe of Maxxx builds on a core parade theme with its own subthemes, inside jokes, and escalating commitment to the bit. What starts as a theme quickly becomes a full-blown "MAXXX Era".

An unapologetically pink celebration of self-expression, camp, and controlled chaos, featuring leather, feathers, flamingos, and the continued reign of the Maxxxy Worst Float Award.

2025 Theme - In Smiley Town, Smiley Says...

MAXXX Era: Extra! Extra! Read All About Tit! 

A mischievous, tongue-in-cheek year that cemented our reputation and earned us the Maxxxy Award for being the krewe your mother warned you about. Our legendary newspaper still has tongues wagging. Smiley for the flash, people!

2024 Theme - Wasted Away in Flamingoville

MAXXX Era: MAXimum Jimmy, Minimum Effort

With a “drink up, beaches” mentality and a constant refrain of "What would Jimmy do?", Flamingoville embraced island escapism, flamingo excess, and Coral Reefer–level vibes from start to finish. Equal parts Margaritaville mythology and Maxxximal commitment to the bit, this era celebrated the art of doing just enough. 

2023 Theme - Man I Love Flamingoes

MAXXX Era: The Great MILFy Way

A high-camp, sci-fi fantasia that launched our flamingo obsession into outer space. Featuring characters inspired by retro space-age icons and over-the-top sci-fi archetypes (think Leia, Padme, Sigourney, Jane Jetson, Barbarella) this season embraced cosmic chaos through the Maxxx lens of maxxximalism and full commitment to the bit.

2022 Theme - Porn Again Flamingoes

MAXXX Era: Our First KliMAX!

Our debut season and the beginning of the Maxxx identity. This year established our aesthetic, our willingness to commit fully to a theme, and our place within Spanish Town Mardi Gras. The first KliMAX set expectations for creativity, spectacle, and a level of fun that would only escalate in the years to follow.
